Radio Flyer

The Radio Flyer “Imagination on Wheels” campaign transformed a simple red wagon into a portal to absurd and delightful childhood adventures—like the Stinky Broccoli Forest and Cotton Cany Swamp. It came out of Mining for Mercury, a program I created at FCB to help younger writers tap into radio’s “theatre of the mind.” I can't take credit for writing these spots, but they did come out of the hundreds of scripts written weekly in the program. And they're proof that with enough imagination (and rewrites), even a wagon can travel anywhere.
